Fall is such a lovely time of year. The weather and the colors make for beautiful photographs and even more beautiful memories.
Even if your little one is too little to really enjoy fall, it’s still nice to get out and celebrate the change of season. And if you’ve got a toddler, well, activity ideas are always welcomed!

Fall Craft Ideas
There are some amazing crafty people out there, thank goodness. It makes things easier for the rest of us!
I love making things, but coming up with what to make? That’s the hard part. And making it actually look good? Yikes, even harder.
But, here are some fun and easy craft ideas (I don’t think I’d even manage to mess them up).
Autumn Leaf Mason Jar Candle Holders
This is a super simple DIY, but it looks so pretty. All you need is:
- Mod Podge
- Mason jars
- Fall leaves (plastic or fresh)
- Tea light candles (to finish)
Paint a Pumpkin
Paint + Pumpkin = fun! Whatever color or design takes your fancy!
Collect Leaves and Make a Collage
Those gorgeous fall leaves make perfect collage material. First you get to have fun collecting just the right leaves, then you can help your little one make a beautiful collage.
Paint With Vegetable Stamps (or Apple stamps)
Cut vegetables into shapes that your little one can press into paint and use as a stamper. Or you can simply cut an apple in half to make a natural apple shape.
Get Out and About For A Day Trip
Getting out with the family and enjoying time together is a great way to make memories. The perfect place to visit in fall?
Why not try…
- The Pumpkin Patch
- An Apple Orchard
- A leafy park
Make it a great day out with the family by bringing along a picnic lunch. Be prepared to collect some beautiful fall leaves to take home with you and maybe even a pumpkin or two!
Outside Play
Rake up the leaves and let your little one play with them. Babies will enjoy the sensory experience and toddlers will enjoy romping through the piles of leaves!
Inside and Quiet
Share some fall-themed books with your little one. You might take a trip to the library first and pick some out together!
